The Pine Run Health Center, set within the campus of Pine Run Community, provides a key element in meeting the goal to respect and preserve its residents' dignity and self-worth, no matter what their health status. The Health Center's professional staff recognizes each person's unique, changing requirements while respecting his or her right to autonomy and choice. Each resident receives the support and encouragement he or she needs along with the exceptional medical care for which Pine Run Community is known.

Transitional Care Center
Here short-stay nursing and rehabilitation residents experience comprehensive, individualized therapy programs and complex medical care to make the most of their functional abilities after surgery, medical procedures, injury or illness. Each skilled-care team includes registered nurses, licensed therapists, social workers and other support staff under the direction of a physician specialist, as needs dictate, who works with the resident's own physician to help him or her achieve individual goals.

Care of the Memory Impaired
Alzheimer's/Dementia Program
For those with impaired memory, the Health Center provides private rooms, large open areas, an enclosed courtyard and specialized care. Therapeutic recreational activities and a nurturing, homelike environment are designed to enhance and maintain abilities and quality of life while preserving dignity and sense of self.

Long-Term Care
When a supportive care environment is required 24 hours a day, the Health Center's long-term care provides full-time supervision by licensed nurses dedicated to the resident's needs. An array of activities designed to bring variety and spontaneity into each resident's life includes contact with children, plants and animals. Families are encouraged to participate with our team to assist us in knowing, honoring and respecting their loved ones on an individual and personal basis.

Respite Care
The Health Center accommodates the special needs of at-home family caregivers by providing short-term care for loved ones while the caregiver takes a vacation, business trip or essential break from the day to day stress of meeting care needs.

Hospice Care
In conjunction with Doylestown Hospital's Hospice Care program, the Health Center provides medical support in a compassionate and dignified setting for a loved one near the end of life.
